Ranking Fight -70kg / Elite (1500 – 1800 Elo)

After Andreas' first 2 victories in IFC, his goal is the crown (Elite -70kg). But before challenging the GOAT of the category, the Spanish Daniel Lizaraga, he had to face the Italian Marco Muccini, world number 2. This duel promised to be intense, especially against a very trained and experienced Marco. The fight kept all its promises: very close on the board, with a clear advantage for Andreas in boxing, Marco having been counted twice.
In the 9th round of chess, Marco had a better position and much more time on the clock. But in Chessboxing nothing is ever finished, you must never give up. So Andreas set a trap for his opponent in the final seconds, and Marco fell into it. Andreas had a checkmate opportunity, but unfortunately, he didn't have any time left on the clock to execute it. In the end, Marco won the fight even though the outcome could have been completely different! Emotions were at their peak. Thanks to Marco and Andreas for this unforgettable moment, filled with suspense and passion.
