The fifth fight took place between Germany and Latvia in the 75-80kg class. On the Latvian side, the fighter Edgars Raits entered the ring with the support of the well-known WCBO referee and trainer Valera Mikalauskas . Raits competed in the Chess Boxing World Championship in Italy in 2023 and won a fight in Latvia in 2024.
Denno Probst had previously asked fighters for the fight card in Berlin. Leonard Bockting would have loved to be there, but was away in Thailand for a month on business. There was no suitable opponent for Alina Rath . However, trainer Robert Rolle did not keep agreed telephone appointments, so a replacement opponent had to be found for the challenger from Latvia. The Fightlounge Dortmund provided Orfeo "Freakout" Maiorano at short notice . He clearly won in round 2 by technical knockout and lived up to his nickname. The Maiorano-Raits fight was the best fight of the evening for many and the likeable 22-year-old was celebrated by those present and the online audience. |
